Ingredients
4 cups whole milk
1/2 cup plain yogurt
Directions
Bring 4 cups of whole milk to 170 degrees F. DO NOT BOIL. Bring temperature back down to 110 degrees F. {I stick the pot in a bowl of ice water, but be careful not to get water in the pot.}
Add the yogurt and mix well. Pour into a Salton 1 Quart Yogurt maker and let sit on the counter for 8-12 hourse depending on you rpreference for taste and consistancy. The longer it cooks, the stronger the flavor and the firmer the yogurt.
Refrigerate. This will thicken up as it cools.
{You can strain this yogurt through a clean cotton dishtowel to make a thicker yogurt. Strain even longer to make homemade sour cream.
