Ingredients

1 cup basmati rice
2 tbsp margarine
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
2 tbsp minced parsley
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp salt

Directions

In a saucepan bring 2 cups water to a boil. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
When rice is done, melt margarine in a small skillet over medium heat. Saute onions, pecans, parsley, basil, ginger, pepper and salt. When onions are tender stir mixture into rice and mix well.
